About Us

Freedom's First Electric is a family-owned and operated business that has been serving Central PA for over 20 years. We are a strong Christian company, and our mission is to serve our customers in the same way that Jesus Christ served the church.

History 

In 1997, Dennis and Julie Zimmerman started D. Zimmerman Electric to help meet the electrical needs of local farmers and businesses in Snyder and Juniata counties. Over the next 20 years, they grew their business, added more staff, and expanded their reach to cover most of Central PA. Today, we have a thriving customer base and serve a large variety of industries, from feed mills to mining operations.

In January 2019, Dennis and Julie decided to step down from the daily operations and transition the business to its new owners, Jonathan and Amber Kincaid. Our name also changed to Freedom's Light Electric.
